Hawaii Insurance Division Issues 2026 Hurricane Data Call for Residential Insurers

Share:

HI| The Hawaii Insurance Commissioner Momorandum 2026-4PC is requiring all authorized insurers currently writing residential hurricane coverage in Hawaiʻi to complete a confidential hurricane insurance data call worksheet by May 4, 2026, to be submitted to the Insurance Division’s P&C Filing Branch via RPAdatacall@dcca.hawaii.gov with “2026 Hurricane Data Call” in the subject line.

The purpose is to assess how the recently reactivated Hawaiʻi Hurricane Relief Fund (HHRF), revived under Act 296 (Session Laws of Hawaii 2025) to provide hurricane coverage for condominium and townhouse associations, may be affecting and potentially could affect the residential single-family hurricane insurance market.
