Colorado Announces Regulatory Changes

CO | The Colorado Division of Insurance today announced three changes to its regulations. Click on the links below to read each notice for additional information.

  • Amended – Regulation 4-2-41 affects the rules for form filing requirements for health benefit plans, ACA-compliant stand-alone dental plans, student health insurance coverage, and short-term limited-duration health insurance policies.
  • New – Regulation 5-1-22 tolls certain time limits on policyholder benefits in the event of catastrophic disasters and clarifies unfair claim settlement practices.
  • Repealed – Regulation 4-2-90 which addressed coverage for COVID-19 vaccines during the federal public health emergency.
