TX| Bulletin B-0002-26 announces a special Texas Department of Insurance data call, authorized by Insurance Code Section 2210.052, requiring certain insurers to report 2025 direct written property premiums in the Texas catastrophe area for the period January 1–December 31, 2025, so that the Texas Windstorm Insurance Association can calculate potential 2026 assessment participation shares and possibly use the data again in 2027 before 2026 data is available. Companies that must respond are: (1) those reporting 2025 Texas commercial property or businessowners data to ISO under minimum/limited formats lacking place-code or ZIP-code detail, including those using TDI’s minimum reporting guidelines; (2) those reporting to ISO under a full reporting plan where all four quarters of 2025 data were not fully accepted by ISO as of March 2, 2026—these must still report the full year; and (3) farm mutual insurers acting as fronting insurers under Insurance Code Section 221.001(c). Any company in one of these categories must submit the TWIA Data Call Form and a separate TWIA Data Call Affidavit to TDI, even if it wrote no applicable business in the catastrophe area, using an Adobe 9.0 or later product, by the response deadline of May 22, 2026.
