MS| Mississippi Insurance Department Bulletin 2026-2, effective May 1, 2026, establishes an actuarial product and rate filing fee schedule for companies that elect the expedited review process for life, credit life, annuity, and accident and health contracts under 19 Miss. Admin. Code, Part 1, Chapter 38. The Bulletin requires insurers using this expedited process to pay fees based on a six-level “degree of analysis” rating (from low to extremely high) with corresponding dollar amounts ranging from 215 to 1,675 dollars, as detailed in Exhibit A.
Exhibit A assigns rating levels to specific product types, including individual and group life, individual and group annuities, and individual and group accident and health forms and renewal rate filings, with more complex products such as long-term care, major medical, and indexed annuities placed in the higher analysis categories.
