WA | The Washington Insurance Commissioner today issued Emergency Order No. 23-01. In response to recent wildfires in the jurisdiction, the order offers consumers the following relief for the period of August 19, 2023, to October 17, 2023:
- Grace period of at least 45 days for payment of property insurance premiums
- Waiver of applicable charges and fees for non-payment of premiums
- Temporary moratorium on cancellation of policies for non-payment of premium
- Temporary moratorium on non-renewal of policies
