MD| The Maryland Insurance Administration issued Bulletin 26-8 notifying all Maryland property and casualty insurers that the Maryland Joint Insurance Association’s address has changed and that cancellation and nonrenewal notices for personal and commercial property policies must be updated accordingly to remain compliant with Insurance Article sections 27-602(b) and 27-603(b).
Effective April 10, 2026, insurers must include the Association’s new Ellicott City address and current telephone number in written notices informing insureds of their possible right to replace coverage under the Maryland Property Insurance Availability Act and are directed to revise their forms by that effective date or as soon as possible thereafter.
