Maryland Addresses Coverage Gaps Created by End of Federal Public Health Emergency

MD | The Maryland Insurance Administration today issued Bulletin 23-7. It clarifies the impact of the expiration of the emergency declarations on the applicable requirements for private health insurance coverage, particularly with regard to COVID-19. The bulletin does remind insurers of their responsibility to provide health benefits covered by their approved policy forms. It also provides a list of recommended practices to minimize the impact of the change on consumers.
