Alaska Explains Insurer Responsibilities for Third-Party Liability in Medicaid

AK | The Alaska Division of Insurance today issued Bulletin B 23-03. It reminds insurers of two new third-party liability requirements introduced by the federal Consolidated Appropriations Acts, 2022 (CAA). These requirements involve payment of claims and prior authorizations and a third-party payer’s responsibility to respond promptly to inquiries from regulators.
