AK| In Order R 26-01 issued by the Alaska Division of Insurance clarifies that, following an October 15, 2025 hearing held under 3 AAC 25.040 and AS 21.06.180–21.06.230, no testimony or written comments were received regarding proposed changes to the surplus lines placement list, so the director finds no basis to alter the existing list or prior code corrections and therefore orders that no changes be made to the surplus lines placement list adopted under Order R 25-01 and the code number corrections adopted under Order R 25-02; those prior orders remain in full effect, and this new order becomes effective January 5, 2026, confirming that producing brokers may continue to rely on the existing surplus lines list for presumed due diligence and may still seek exceptions under AS 21.34.020(a)(4) when appropriate.
