VT| Vermont’s Department of Financial Regulation issued DFR Bulletin #6 on October 24, 2025, urging financial services companies regulated by the department to offer flexibility and proactively assist individuals experiencing financial hardship due to the ongoing federal government shutdown, including avoiding penalties, fees, cancellations, or defaults for affected consumers; regulated entities are expected to clearly communicate available hardship options and may contact DFR for guidance as needed during the shutdown period.
