PR| The Puerto Rico Office of the Commissioner of Insurance announces that, due to ongoing technological challenges and progressive upgrades to the Healthcare Provider Credentials Portal created under Act 73-2023 and Chapter 18 of the Health Insurance Code, it is extending the period during which no fines or administrative penalties will be imposed for non-compliance related to the Portal’s use, while clarifying this is not a general waiver of legal obligations, expecting normal operations by March 2, 2026, and inviting insurers and health care professionals to contact the OCI for individualized assistance during this transitional phase.
