MI| Bulletin 2025-28-INS from the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services updates insurers on the maximum allowable copying charge for documents provided to insureds or applicants who request information related to an alleged improper denial of auto or home insurance or an incorrect premium under MCL 500.2113(2)(a). It supersedes Bulletin 2024-28-INS and confirms that, through December 31, 2026, the copying charge cannot exceed the Department’s Freedom of Information Act rate, which remains 10 cents per sheet of paper, and encourages use of the most economical copying methods.
