LA | The Louisiana Department of Insurance is in the process of amending Regulation 89—Suitability in Annuity Transactions. The proposed amendments to Regulation 89 are necessary to implement the provisions of Act No. 73 of the 2023 Regular Session of the Louisiana Legislature and to incorporate pertinent standards, rules, and requirements identified in the model Suitability in Annuity Transactions regulation adopted by the National Association of Insurance Commissioners.
