Share

AZ|The Arizona Department of Insurance and Financial Institutions has issued a mandatory homeowners insurance data call under A.R.S. §20-123 to support the Wildfire Insurance Task Force’s review of coverage in geographic areas designated as heightened wildfire risk by the Department of Forestry and Fire Management, requiring each insurer (no group filings) to report transactional-level information for all residential fire-covering homeowners and dwelling-type policies (including surplus lines) in force during calendar years 2025 and 2026, including policy effective/renewal and termination dates.

The reported data will be confidential, used only in aggregated and anonymized form, and 2025 data must be submitted by April 1, 2026, with failure to provide a timely and complete response subjecting insurers to potential administrative action and penalties under Arizona Title 20.

Insurers are asked to review the Wildfire Risk Data Call Elements Summary, submit any questions or comments on the elements to Data_Analytics@difi.az.gov by February 20, register a “Data Calls” contact in NAIC SBS for this and future calls, and direct any further inquiries about scope or requirements to DIFI’s Data Analytics Manager, Tom Zuppan.
